Bottle picked up from Mpreis, Leutasch, Austrian and consumed at home Sunday 24th August 2025 after a nice weekend at Ulm Obstwiesenfestival, we've got Courgette Lasagna tonight for tea. This pours clear gold with a mid sized white head. Okay it's a bit sweet, okay it's a little bit industrial, however this aside it's not bad. Thick mouthfeel, more going on than anticipated, light fruity but then a syrup and honey flood, warming and more than a bit boozy but not without it's charms.

Aus der Flasche (bbe 30.11.2022) im 2023-09 getrunken. Diese etwas überlagerte Bock überrascht mit einer goldorangenen Farbe und leicht orangen Aroma. Der Alkoholgehalt ist perfekt eingebunden.

Bottle. Nose of honey, steeped grains, herbs, sweet orange. Clear blond. Low, lacy head. Sweet and boozy. Lemon and orange, honey, biscuits. Bit of burn in the finish. Not sure what the difference is between this and the regular Gauder, but that one is richer and smoother. This might be much better in about 5 years.

Optisch klar und gülden mit überschaubarer feiner Perlage. Die weiße, fein- bis mittelporige Schaumkrone zeigt sich flaumig-stabil und mäßig gut haltbar. In der Nase überraschend zurückhaltend. Leichte getreidige Malznoten, die an Weißbrot erinnert, sowie zarte fruchtig-florale Nuancen von Honig und fruchtigem Weißwein. Im Antrunk passend spritzig, verhältnismäßig frisch und süßlich-fruchtig bis honigartig. Am Gaumen sowohl getreidig, hellmalzig und weißbrotartig, als auch süßlich-fruchtig und zart floral mit Noten von reifem Steinobst, ein wenig Banane, süßer Weintraube und leichten Anklängen von Honig. Das Mundgefühl ist für 10,4% Alkohol und trotz einer leicht alkoholischen Note überaus angenehm und mann will es kaum sagen, aber sogar eine gewisse Süffigkeit ist bei diesem kräftigen Steinbock gegeben. Im Nachtrunk klingen die bereits erschmeckten Aromen langsam aus und die süßlich-herbe Note von Banane kommt etwas mehr zum Vorschein. Etwas länger hinaus bleibt eine leicht trockene Herbe über. Fazit: Für mein Empfinden eines der guten Doppelböcke. In Österreich definitiv eines der besten!

33cl bottle. A clear yellow golden beer with a small white head. Aroma of grainy dry pale malt, straw, some honey. Taste of sweet pale malt, honey, straw, some ripe fruits. Boozy finish.

Bottle 330ml. [ As Zillertal Gauder Steinbock ].[ Courtesy of my Local Swap 2015-4 - Sebilinz ]. Clear medium yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, light hoppy, grass. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet with a average to long duration, pale malt, sweet malt, marzipan malt, alcohol. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. Bottle @ Aarhus tasting. Clear yellow with a white head. Aroma is faint, sweet, malty and light fruity. Flavor is quite sweet and light bitter. Sweet finish with warming alcohol. 220416

Bottle. Medium head with medium duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are grass, straw, sugar, malt and hops. Sweet grassy sugary finish.

330 ml bottle bought April 2015.
Golden, clear body, with a small, creamy, off-white head.
Aroma of sweet fruits, sugar, grains, sweet bread, flowers.
Tastes of sweet honey, bread, sweet fruits, some flowers, slight hops, booze.
Medium, a bit oily mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation.
Finishes boozy, warm, sweet, subtly hoppy, overall quite flat.
OK. Tastes like an average Heller Bock, but with much more alcohol. Much too strong to be quaffable and much too less complex for a good sipper.

Schon vor längerer Zeit getrunken Nicht schlecht, aber auch die großen Jubelstärme wollten auch nicht aufkommen. Durchaus schöne karamellig-malzige Noten, aber einige brutale Zuckernoten stören ein bisschen den EInklang. Dennoch ein durchaus interessantes Bier
