Bottled. A golden beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of Belgian yeast, fruit, caramel, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of Belgian yeast, fruit, caramel, and malt, leading to dry finish.

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow, orange, white head. Aroma is phenolic. Toasted malt. Herbal and dry phenolic. Dry and annis seed herbal finish.

Bottle from HavnensVin&Tobak. Pours dark honey amber with large white head. Aroma is malt, grain, yeast, anise and coriander seeds. Taste is medium sweet, light bitter and faint acidic. Body is creamy with light carbonation. Finish is long and mostly sweet with notes of matl, grain, yeast and anise. Round and pleasant, but can I have it without the anise, please?

Bottle 500ml. [ As Nibe Fabel ].Clear medium amber color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, pale malt, spicy, anis seed, "knogen af danmark" candy. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a long duration, anis seed, kongen af danmark, sweet malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20150926]

500 ml bottle. Almost clear golden body with a dense, lacing off-white head. Quite strong aroma of malt, caramel, dry fruit and something spicy that I couldn’t figure out in the start, but its obvious anise when tasting. Strange, but all the sweet stuff might gave fooled med. Flavor is sticky sweet malt, caramel, brown sugar, dry fruit and plenty of anise. Practically no bitterness detected but sweet, warming alcohol dominating in the aftertaste. Full bodied and lots of sugar in the aftertaste as well. Some kind of barley wine type boosty alcohol and sugar flavor, but misses the finesses and complexity. Not all bad, have some qualities here as well but not able to drink much of this.
