Tap at Brewdog Tower Hill. A clear pale yellow gold coloured pour with a halo of loose white head. Aroma is nice Belgian lager vibes, barrel staves, white grape, vinous funk, floral notes. Flavour is composed of tart pale grains, woody tannin, hint of vanilla, white grape, lemon twist, light earthy straw. Palate is slightly tart, semi crisp, moderate carbonation. Quite unique. Good stuff.

Keg at BD Castlegate. It pours crystal clear yellow - gold with a small, fluffy white cap. The aroma is fresh, fragrant, floaty, daisies & buttercups, honeysuckle, white grape, gooseberry, musty, spritzy sherbet character, vanilla, damp hay and some mellow funk. The taste is crisp, firmly dry, bitter - sweet, ripe white grape, gooseberry, honeydew melon, dry oak, hay, earthy, straw, touch of spice, slap of boozey, green unripe fruits, touch of rawness, vinous character throughout and a touch of PVA glue. Finish is boozey and drying. Average body and moderate, spritzy carbonation. Lovely aroma to it. The taste is decent, but a touch touch rougher, rawer around the edges.

Keg at Brewdoge Tower Hill, 03/01/25.
Pale golden yellow with a white cap, carbonation evident.
Nose is green berry must, light funk, hedgerow, yeast esters, light stone fruit.
Taste comprises herb, champagne yeast, hay bale, grape must, funk, straw, toasted grains, mellow Nelsonisms.
Medium bodied, light spritzy carbonation, semi drying close with a light acidic bimble. Tidy drop ... Good champagne/wine crossover affair.
Probably the first beer of this style I’ve tried. And I quite like it. Dry, yeasty, a bit funky. Well done!
