Milky Julius is a rendition of our flagship IPA brewed to carry an even greater hop saturation and opacity than the original. It encompasses the sum of all the knowledge we have gained experimenting with new malt, yeast, and processes over the last two years.
You may wonder what separates this beer from the original Julius—well, just about everything! We utilize a softer water profile, wheat in the grist, a different yeast blend, and a hop charge 30% larger than the original.
Pouring a milky yellow color into your glass, it leads with notes of juicy, ripe citrus, mango nectar, and mixed tropical fruit notes and finishes with a firm, short-lasting bitterness. Whoa. We hope this innovative take on an original paradigm-shifting beer hits the right notes for you. Enjoy!

Batch 2 can (missed batch 1 last year), canned 8/7/26, drunk 9/6/26.
A bit more floral, airier nose than a typical Julius. And lo and behold, this one is significantly more pale than normal Julius. Fresh citrus, light tropical fruit spice and an overall clean and polished nose with delicate honey-and-wheat-like malt notes. Very round, even, balanced.
Soft, with chewy wheat and lightly sweet, honey-like maltiness sets a very substantial backdrop for fresh squeezed citrus and easygoing floral/spice notes. Zesty bitterness up front relaxes as it finishes with a bit of chalk and wheat-like blandness. Some light tropical fruit and very light pine retronasal. Not as explosively citrusy as the base beer, but with a more soupy, hardcore New England character to it. There's some chalky-dullness from the (assumedly) increased dry hop that saps some of the brightness, but otherwise very well-done. Hard to compare to the original; very different.

Pours a hazy, banana-smoothie color, with smallish head. Aroma is bright, juicy tropical fruit and citrus. Flavors follow, with some chalkiness to the finish. Soft, smooth mouthfeel. Moderate hop bitterness in the finish.
