If you recall your Oliver Twist from middle school required reading, you’ll recall that the orphans basically only get Gruel which is a thin oatmeal. For this brew we went back to basics with a classic Oatmeal Stout recipe at moderate ABV so you can enjoy a few in a session. It clicks all the buttons for us..chocolatey, roasty, creamy and just downright delicious. Cheers!

Tap at the Grayson Exhibit A(le). Pours a muddy, dark brown, almost black, with a small, beige head. The aroma is anise, harsh coffee, burnt toast, mild rye, and earth. Sweet and roasty, with a sharp, abrasive bitterness. Medium to heavy body, bready, and sharp. Aggressive, but tasty enough.
