bottle hazy yellow small white head. citrussy lemongrassy aroma, belgian yeast, not entirely as herbal as most other saison beers, more sour. the yeasty note (or what I call yeasty note) is more like soap, less like herbal. flavor is wild yeasty, citrussy, slightly herbal, bitter hoppy end. reminds me of hoppy belgian ipa and belgian wit and belgian blonde. it is sort of like a saison but i think a lot more like the catch-all category we have or had at ratebeer - belgian strong ale. considering ingredients it's quite impressive the brewer hit so close to a saison flavor.

Bottled. An unclear golden beer with a white head. The aroma has notes of yeast, spices, citrus fruits, and malt. The flavor is acidic with notes of spices, yeast, citrus fruits, and malt, leading to a dry finish.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a cloudy, opaque golden with a lacing, white head. Looks very much lie a NEIPA. Nose is yeasty with a spicy edge. Medium body, again yeasty and quite harshly bitter - again this indefinable spiciness that now comes close to a vomit flavor. A beer that may have looked fine on the sketch board but ended up a bit of a mess. 110521
