Bottle 50 cl. Pours a hazy, deep orangey brown with a small and creamy, beige head. Nutty, slightly roasty nose. Pleasant, malty body, again extremely soft on the palate, slight roast, a hit of licorice and caramel but never too sweet as it has just the right amount of bittering hops for balance. Not the most characterful of Brown Ales, but a super pleasant and drinkable beer. These two Frijsenborg beers have been a pleasant surprise. 050121

Bottle. non conventional label design, a delicate balance just where stylish minimalistic and cheap discount meets. I like the design, it is different that most other beers. some sort of plastic labes, looks like the letters and logo is printed onto the bottle. Hazy brown, soapy fluffy light brown head.3 aroma is nutty, dry malty. 6 flavor is dried dark fruits, raisins, syrup, peppery herbal almost burnt plastic bitterness. the bitterness is a bit confusing, it is not hops i think, more herbal, perhaps it's the oranges they added, perhaps they added orange stones or orange peel. in any case, lots of flavor, and you are okay with an orange peel, grapefruity, fruit stone ish bitterness, then the beer is in fact very tasty. 6 pal 3 ov 12
