440ml can from Wee Beer Shop at Pollokshaw Road - Hazy deep amber body with a short lived off white head. Nose is barley sugar and stone fruits, taste is caramel heavy, prunes and toffee, gives the impression it is stronger than the ABV.

Can from Appellation Wines.
Appearance - deep amber to brown and cloudy. Beige head.
Nose - toffee, burnt bread and some spice.
Taste - smoother toffee this time, creamy sweet caramel cream. Still a little (rye?) spice.
Palate - medium bodied, sweet but spicy.
Overall - pretty good example of the style.

16/6/2024. Can from Beer Without Borders. Pours very slightly hazy copper brown with a small frothy/creamy off-white head. Aroma is malted, caramel, biscuit, bread, dried fruits. Well balanced bitterness and sweetness. Medium body, average to soft carbonation. Good malty brew. Enjoyed this.
