Cask (gravity) @ NWAF 2016, National Winter Ales Festival (2016), The Roundhouse, Pride Park, Derby, Derbyshire, England, DE24 8JE. [ As Wentwell Absent Friends ].Clear medium yellow orange color with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, spicy, ginger. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, spicy, pale malt, sweet malt, ginger .. not much more to say ! Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20160219]

GraviCask, shared with Finn at Camra’s National Winter Ales Festival. A clear golden body with no head. Ginger aroma, nothing more. Spiced with ginger all over. Drinkable, but not my kind of beer (The Roundhouse, Derby 19.02.2016).

Cask at NWAF, Derby, Thursday, 18th February 2016 Pours crystal clear gold with not much of a head, steady gingerness from the off and some malt (though this takes a backseat) ginger coming through quite a bit now. Rating interrupted by Fish, Chips and Mushy Peas. Quite a good beer. A6 A5 T6 P3 Ov12 3.2
