We hebben de Eggens Quadrupel laten rijpen op vaten uit Dublin. Deze zachte en zeer toegankelijke smaak geeft een mooi whiskey karakter mee aan de Quadrupel, en ze hebben ruim 315 dagen te tijd gehad om één te worden. hierdoor ontstaat een mooie combinatie van smaken, met de warmende tonen van de Quadrupel (caramel en laurier) aangevuld met de tonen van de Ierse Whiskey en smaaktonen uit het hout.

Bottle from a local bottle shop. Aroma is whiskey and brown malts with raisins, alcohol, wood, some more dried fruit. Flavour is mild to medium sweet with a somewhat boozy finish. Medium body. Lots of raisins with whiskey, decent but lacks some depth.

0,33 l bottle from Bij Thijs, Vlagtwedde. 1.560 bottles. Rosé red wax cap. Nearly black in the glass, no head. Whiskey and smooth roasted malt with wood on the nose. Taste is boozy, alcoholic bitterness, roasted malty. Fruity elements in the second part. No carbonation as expected. Nice.
