Cask (gravity) @ NWAF 2016, National Winter Ales Festival (2016), The Roundhouse, Pride Park, Derby, Derbyshire, England, DE24 8JE. [ As Kelburn Kracker ].Clear medium brown amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel, sweet malt, moderate hoppy, fruity hops, citrus - orange. Flavor is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter with a long duration, sweet malt, caramel, toasted, hop bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20160218]

Cask at the Paisley Beer Festival 2016. Pours clear golden with a thin white head. Aromas of caramel, sulphur, little else. Taste is chalky, sweet. Creamy texture, sweet finish.

On cask @ the Standing Order. Appearance - deep amber to chestnut with orange chinks. Nice head. Nose - elusive, a hint of red fruit. Taste - somewhere between strawberry and rhubarb jam. Sweet and sour. Palate - close to medium bodied with a tangy texture and a long dry tangy finish. Overall - it recovered well and was enjoyable.

Cask at the Alexander Graham bell. Pours amber, nose is sweet toffee, nutty, taste is similar, dry and sweet.

Half, hand-pulled cask at JWDs Henglers Circus. Creamy, beige head resting on top of a nice and clear mahogany coloured body. Smell of earthy malts and dark fruits. Brittle caramel malts in flavour sustained by dark fruits, making it all a bit jam-like. Roasted bitter end. Oily palate Medium bodied. A good one (Glasgow, 12.04.2012).

5th December 2008. Clear brown beer. Hoppy and dry, the malt is very dry. Can’t taste the secret spice. Nothing special.

Cask @ Bon Accord. Brown colour, tan head. Aroma of toasted malts. Flavour has caramel malts. Dry and a bit bitter. Finishes bitter.

Hazy dark amber color. Simple aroma. Good caramel flavor, medium sweet, with some nuts and very light vegetables. Not bad.

Cask at Blackfriars ... Nice ruby red ... deep roast fruity malt ... sweet rich fruity , lot of rich american hop pine resins. probablbest ive had of Kelburns beers.
