Specially brewed for the Reading Beer Festival 2018! This one-off cask of beer is a replica recipe of the historic 1869 Simonds of Reading SB. Fermented on a specific Thames Valley strain of yeast, this light beer is truly history in a glass

Cask at the Reading Beer Festival. Hazy blonde beer. Rather bland, with light banana, fudge and dust. Certainly nowhere near Church Han's usual standards. If this is what beer was like 150 years ago I'm glad I live in the 21st century!
