Bottle from the brewer’s own stand at the Good Food Show at Birmingham NEC. Black. Slightly sour roasted malts prevail in a rather thin brew. A somewhat sub-optimal stout.

Bottle from Sarkynorthener cheers Martin; dark opaque brown pour with a creamy dark tan head, aroma has dark fruits and some roast, taste astringent dark fruits, some liquorice, smelt ok but tastes, unrefined. --- Beer merged from original tick of Black Elephant on 14 Oct 2016 at 20:10 - Score: 5

Appearance - 4 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6.5

500ml bottle. Pours jet black with a thin head. Aroma is bitter coffee and roast. Taste has light roast and a sharp liquorice finish.
