Sampled on draft at Breakneck Tavern this beer poured a dark brown color with a small foamy beige head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was woody and a bit toasty. The flavor was slightly astringent, woody, malty and dusty. Medium length woody finish. Medium body.

Tap source. Darker brown and clear. Slight spiced aroma. Good smooth creamy co2. Nice first impressions. Some hints of old damp partially burned campfire wood in there. Yes, civilized and friendly. Even ends with a shade of tartness, pretty good stuff.
