We created this beer together with Mikkel Borg of Denmark, the creative mind behind the Mikkeller beer brand.
We wanted to make a beer that would express the encounter between the two artists with each bringing to the planning table his world and his love and create something new that none of us has yet done without the chains of style or tradition. So we made The beer of Milk & Honey - From the land of milk & honey With milk and honey and oranges. The result is a completely different beer Dark, thick, sweet beer, with flavors of honey and orange chocolate and a surprising smooth body, a dessert beer for a good meal or just to savor on its own.

330ml bottle. Pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is sweet, lactose, coffee, honey. Taste is light roastiness, honey, coffee with milk, big sweet finish. I feel this would be better if it wasn't so damn sweet.

04.07.2017, 0,33l bottle @ home:
Nice light brown slightly fizzy-creamy longlasting head. Aroma is slightly dry sour-ish roasted, dark malts, dark sugar, bloodlike minerals, roasted grain, citrus, sour coffee, toast, lactose, anise. Taste is sweet mineraly, dark sugar, bloodlike minerals, roasted grain, lactose, burnt toast, dark malts, sour coffee, licorice, grass, paper, citrus. Medium bitterness, slightly sweet roasted mouthfeel. Not really my cup of tea.

Bottle. Quite strong honey presence, full body, relatively sweet throughout. No roast malt character, despite the dark colour. Low bitterness. The orange zest is present, also seemingly with a kind of herbal cough syrup element. Good, tasty, but slightly out of balance.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours black with a warm reddish hue and a dissipating beige head. Sweet licorice aroma. Rich body, very sweet - bordering cloying - from the lactose and what appears like unfermented honey. Well made, but almost undrinkable due to the sweetness. 030417
