We created this beer together with Mikkel Borg of Denmark, the creative mind behind the Mikkeller beer brand.
We wanted to make a beer that would express the encounter between the two artists with each bringing to the planning table his world and his love and create something new that none of us has yet done without the chains of style or tradition. So we made The beer of Milk & Honey - From the land of milk & honey With milk and honey and oranges. The result is a completely different beer Dark, thick, sweet beer, with flavors of honey and orange chocolate and a surprising smooth body, a dessert beer for a good meal or just to savor on its own.

Flaska från SB. Smak och doft av humle, malt, rostade toner, choklad, brunt socker, mörk torkad frukt, karamell, honung med toner av vanilj, laktos och aningar av aska. Fruktig, krämig, rund och len, stor sötma, bra balans, fin beska. Mycket gott men aningen sött!

(330ml bottle from Systembolaget) Pours black with a small film of whitish bubbles that fades without lace. Aroma of moderately roasted malts, dark sugar, chocolate, slightly creamy, subtle notes of vanilla and orange, rather weak. Flavour is quite sweet in comparison to the nose, dark malts, muscovado, honey, sweet orange, milk chocolate, low roast, wafer cookies. Semi-dry, fruity creamy finish with low roast bitterness, hint of alcohol heat. Fairly light bodied for style, slick, soft carbonation. Easy drinking, while fruity and sweet, not dessert-like. Nice but not astounding.

Bottled, from Systembolaget. Near black, small beige head. Milky citrus aroma. Very sweet with medium-full body and rounded mouthfeel. Sugar, milk and honey, some toffee. Low bitterness. Dominated by milky sweetness.

Bottle sourced from Mikkeller & Friends Bottle Shop, Torvehallerne, Copenhagen - black pour with a thin tan head. Sweet and medium roasted malty with some chocolate, caramel and and honey sweetness, lacto, as it warms also picking up the orange rind in the finish. Excellent.
