Pours thick - great sound. Nice and black, no head. This smells rich - lots of dark minerally chocolate, with some nice bourbon accents, and umami dark sugars. Full body. Very low carbonation. There's a depth of acidity, chocolate, a bit of umami. The barrel lends a nice boozy character, some char, and this goes well with the dark sugars. High quality. I find the acidity lends a nice bit of juiciness to cut the richness.

750ml @ SF shared with Josh and Phill (thx a lotfor sharing this one!).
Pours like oil 😬🛢
Aroma: thick, some moderate sweetness, a lot of oak.
Taste: along the same lines, heavy and rich, but balanced.
Overall: lovely 😍

On tap at the brewery. Pours black. Chocolate, intense chocolate, bourbon, nutty, dark chocolate, cocoa, cinnamon. Full body, little oily. Good.

On tap at Cycle, pours jet black with a small brown head. Aroma is rich, with big chocolate malts, big bourbon notes, and burnt sugars. Flavour is much sweeter than the nose suggested, with lots of burnt sugars, cocoa, brown sugar, and almost a vegetal character. Very rich, moderately-to-heavy sweet. Doesn't have the depth or refinement of some other Cycle BA stouts but it's of course still very good.
