Can to becher pint glass.
Appearance: dark brown close to black color with a two and a half fingers of khaki foamy head which slid off at a nice pace to leave some mild lace
Aroma: roasted dark malts, some dark chocolate, light dose of milk chocolate, sly touch of coffee, and vanilla beans
Flavor: great blend between sweet and roastiness; subtle aftertaste of roasty coffee and vanilla beans
Texture: medium bodied, somewhat sesionable, pretty smooth along my tongue; finishes dark and roasty with that subtle vanilla beany-ness for balance
Overall: a very well brewed porter, I believe I can see it as an English one as the brewer suggests and possibly could be considered a modern take on the English style.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from CBJ. Pours clear cola brown with a fizzy, quickly fading beige head. It’s infected. Light sweet flavour, tangy and almost tart, some berries, earth, faint metallic note. Light bodied, fizzy carbonation. Tangy finish, a little sour, vague dark malts. Bit of a shame.

Keg at Craft Beer Junction, 12/04/24. Dark mahogany brown topped with a beige cap. Nose is dark malts, cocoa powder, roast malts, charr, dried fruits. Taste comprises chocolate biscuit, roast malts, toffee, dried fruit rinds, toasted brown sugars. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Okay porter.

Roast and vanilla. Good mix here. Some coffee. Nice beer. Slick mouthfeel. Black pour with decent head. A little caramel sweetness in the finish, but lots of bitterness. Can.
