This 12.8% blend of massive imperial stouts spent over a year in a variety of bourbon and rye barrels—Willet Bourbon Barrels, Willet Rye Barrels, and Jack Daniel’s Rye Barrels. This initial extended aging allowed seasonal temperature fluctuations in the barrels to draw bold flavors from the oak that carries notes of vanilla and coconut.
A portion of this blend was then aged in Dorset Maple Reserve Bourbon Maple Syrup Barrels to round out these intricate flavors, from the initial barrel aging, with notes of caramel and toffee. It was then finished in a Runamok Apple Brandy Maple Syrup Barrel that imparted layers of soft apple and caramel notes to this complex blend. Upon release, this massive blend will be 42 months old.
