Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Hazy blond color; creamy head, nice lace. Wet paper and cereals aroma and flavor, light sweetener sweetness, a bit skunky; strong bitterness. Rather bad.

Pours light amber. Flavour is dough and light hops. Better than your average piss lager.

Bottle. Hazy dull amber. Thin head. Doughy with a soft, mossy hop aroma. Moderate bitterness. Good balance, for a beer that is aiming just a step above mainstream. The malts are maybe a bit breadcrusty. The finish has a hint of hop dryness but no real hop character. It’s not a bad beer, but it is indistinguishable. I waffled a bit about this one, weighing construction versus inspiration but ultimately this is less than previous lager efforts from R&B and more akin to a late 90s release than a 2010 release.
