The Dunkel is a member of the lager family that is tawny (yellowish brown) to dark brown in color. It is a traditional style of beer typical in Munich Germany with a slight spicy maltiness that finishes dry. The Dunkel, to put it simply, is a dark brown lager.

On tap at Central City, split with Matts_Property, pours a dark copper with a small head. Aroma is faint artificial cherries and bready malts. Flavour is metallic, with some nuts and toasted bread. Not good at all.

Sparkling brown,small lasting beige head.Light sweet malt nose and taste, very light hops in the finish. Great lacing.
