On tap. Pours with a clear golden hued body with a medium sized white head. Aromas are of tangerine, dank, and resiny hops. Sticky alcohol, tamarind, medium caramel, citrus pith and grapefruit. Flavors are big and sticky with too much caramel for my taste in hoppy beers. Tangerine, alcohol, big and boozy. Low bubbles, big and sticky!

On tap at Brouwer's Caf, pours a hazy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma of resinous hops and sweet caramel malts, seems on the sugary side. Flavour is highly resinous hop-heavy, loads of sweet caramel malt that become a bit too overpowering, leaving a medium astringency, with a cloying sweetness. Surprisingly inferior to the regular Apex.

Draught at Brouwer’s Café, Seattle
Amber color, small creamy head. Wonderful aroma of caramel and toffee, sweet, with moderate fruity presence, light cheesy yeast. Also the flavor is impressive, very strong caramel and malt and toffee, with a good body structure, and avoiding the chewy and heavy character of crystal malt; powerful hopping of course, carrying loads of soft resins and fruity character; needless to say, the final is infinite, still balanced.
One of the best, most powerful, fresh Imperial IPAs in a long time.
