Sampled on tap at Cascade Brewpub, pours a cloudy dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma of dry scotch malt, light smoked peat and some dry molasses. Flavour of peat / smoked malt, scotch malt, finishing smoked and peaty. Well-made and full-bodied.

Draught. Note. Cascade calls this a Scotch Ale. Pours dark red brown with medium white head. Ringed lacing. Light peaty aroma. Less than you’d expect. Full mouthed flavour, peat and roast malt. Flavour lingers. Peaty not too sweet finish, like a good Hielan’ single malt. I wonder if this was aged in whisky barrels.
