Draft imperial pint at Sport Restaurant, celebrating the Bengals 10th TD of the year. Thought this number would be higher by now, but oh well. Darker copper pour with an uneven foam head. Sweet malt solitary aroma. Flavor is rich malt, the, with the combination being a touch vegetal. Hops are there, but buried. Interesting, but a bit off putting.

Dark amber and basically cloudy. Nose is soft, overripe and a bit caramelly. Taste is similar, albeit with more accent on chewy rye & crystal.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is very subtle, with light rye, bread and not much else. Flavour is more interesting, with some fresh hops, rye and a hint of butterscotch that becomes a but more pronounced on the finish. Smooth, balanced and decently flavoured, but rather bland. Decent stuff.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Cloudy light amber color, with creamy head. The aroma is light and a bit dusty, some paper. Smooth mouthfeel; some caramel flavor, with a different profile given by the rye, drier, more dusty; quite strong bitterness, some anonymous resins, but not much hop quality shining here.
Average.
