Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Cloudy dark amber color, almost red-brown, with almost no head. Mild vinous aroma. The mouthfeel is not too dry; some vinous flavor too, and the expected salt; mild acidity; but the wine brings a character more similar to vinegar than fruits, so overall the elements are not very cohesive, although it’s not a bad beer.

Ugly flat light brown. Looks like Zhigulyovskoye. Tart, only a dash of salt, vinous. All the advertised traits are there, it’s woody, but not coming together. Needs refinement.

On tap at Copper Hog, pours a hazy orange with a tiny head. Aroma brings out white wine notes, a little salt, and dry pils notes. Flavour is very round and complex, with salt, white wine and some light fruits. The barrels accentuate the base beer very well. The salt is subdued, but still noticeable. Very solid stuff.
