(330ml bottle from kihoskh.dk) Pours pitch black with a small ring of dark tan bubbles for head. Aroma is molasses, peat, lightly smoky roast, salty liquorice, dates, layers of old-smelling wood and whisky. Flavour is fairly sweet caramel/molasses malts, lots of peat and soft smoky notes, salted liquorice, dark chocolate, a bit of date and vinous character, earthy. Peat builds even more in the finish, wood, whisky, smoky, salted, bitter chocolate, spicy grain character, a bit of alcohol dryness. Lots of Islay character here, made into a stout. Full body, somewhat viscous, basically no carbonation. ABV plus intense barrel notes makes this a slow slow sipper, and whisky love is a must, but it’s awesome.

Tap at Beer Hunters. Opaque black color, not much head. Intensive malty and smokey aroma. Full-bodied. Smoked ham, very malty, roasted. A bit of sweetness in the finish. Long lingering aftertaste. Demanding and strong.

33cl bottle. Pitch black pour with a veeery thin beige head. Smells like peat, roasted malts, smoke, dark cherries. The taste follows the same notes, with a hefty amount of peat notes excellently balanced by dark chocolate and roasted malts. Full bodied, thick, almost non-existent carbonation and a peaty chocolatey bitter aftertaste.
