On tap at Bear Republic, pours a very deep dark amber-tinged brown with a medium tan head. Aroma is extremely strong, bringing out loads of brandy notes, sticky sweet toffee, and dark dried fruits. Flavour is very robust, with huge notes of toffee, brandy, dark dried fruits, brown sugar and a touch of toasted malt. The imperial stout blend adds just enough roast to cut down the sweetness from the brandy barley wine. Would be too sweet to drink in more than taster quantities, but it's brewed and blended very well.
