650 ml bottle. Pours a dark reddish brown with a light foamy head. Aromas of nuts, burnt sugar, roasted malts, figs, and alcohol. Flavors are similar with the sugar less pronounced and just a hint of orange. A nice rendition of a Belgian Dubbel.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Dark mahogany color, almost black, with beige compact head. Some fruity esters in the aroma, the roastiness is light, there is some chocolate, light stale bread, but also that mellow feeling typical of American imitations of strong Belgian Ales, introducing a light cloying feeling. Sweetish final, candy caramel, low bitterness.
Not a bad beer, just boring.

650mL bottle, pours a deep dark brown with a medium tan head. Nose brings out candied sugar, caramelized brown sugar, and dried dark fruits. Flavour brings out burnt brown sugar, Belgian yeast, and dried dark fruits. Not overly complex, but showcases nice flavours. Decent.
