Buckets of fresh cherries and house-smoked malts highlight this fruit fortified seasonal. Flavours of sweet cherries are balanced by a strong malt backbone and finish with a whisp of smoke. This brew is ripe for the sipping.

Draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver
Orange to light amber color, bright, hazy, with compact generous head. Aroma of dusty malts, a bit of sweat, puke; nothing fascinating. Lean body; caramel flavor, at least it’s not heavy or chewy, moderately sweet; strong bitterness, but the hop qualities are quite dull, dusty; there is just a hint if citrus, and a lot of hop resins.
Good beer, unexciting DIPA.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a dark amber / mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma reveals notes of smoke upfront, followed by subtle cherries. Flavour is smoky upfront, with an unfortunate medicinal and band-aid quality to it, along with subtle cherries. Not very enjoyable. There seems to be something wrong here.

650 ml bottle. Pours a clear mahogany with little head. Aromas of burnt garbage and apple juice. Flavors of paper smoke, light cherry juice, and dry toasted malts with nothing very pronounced or memorable. Just a bad mix. It seems difficult to get a smoked beer right even with the right base...

Poured from 650mL bottle. Clear, reddish brown with light beige head. Aroma of smoked malt, very subtle cherries. Flavour is quite light and lacks much flavour. Medium body.
