We took our Cinder Cone Red recipe and doubled it up; double the malt, hops and alcohol. This beer provides a strong citral hop punch the rides on a blanket of smooth caramel malt flavor. To add to this beers nobility we then aged it on Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon wooden cask. Go big or go home!

22 oz. bottle, pours a hazy ruby red with a small off-white head. Aroma is pretty hot, with lots of candied sugar and bready caramel malts. Flavour brings out light oxidation notes, bready malt, and very light vinous notes. Very little barrel to this and not much complexity. Leaves something to be desired. A miss from Deschutes.
