Draught at the brewpub
Red mahogany color, clear, with compact head. Dry and very smooth, with accent on caramel, malt, some butter, bread; expected low bitterness.
Easy but pleasant.

Light amber. Quite toasty aroma. Similar palate shading towards burnt butter. Not my thing.

On tap at Yaletown, pours a clear dark amber with a small creamy beige head. Nose brings out toasted crusty bread. Flavour brings out the same - lots of crusty rye bread, with a very dry palate. Creamy and drinkable, with a nice balance. Good beer.
