Keg at the taproom, 08/11/14. Black with a decent tan covering. Nose is light roast, chocolate, charr, dark toffee. Taste comprises cocoa powder, vanilla essence, toffee fudge, light roast, spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough stout, well balanced.

On tap at Ecliptic, pours an amber-tinged dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, oatmeal and light dry cocoa. Flavour is soft and smooth, with notes of dry cocoa and oatmeal. Dry and oaty, with a thin palate. Okay, but fairly boring.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a dark mahogany color with a medium tan head. The aroma is light cocoa, some dark chocolates, light berries. The flavor is mostly a dry cocoa, roasted malts (not heavily), smooth, a bit of sweeter fruity esters working in. Very smooth, overall subdued and good.
