Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6.5
On cask at Yaletown, pours black with a small tan head. Nose brings out oak, slight metallic notes and a little roast. Flavour brings out prominent smoked oak notes, which drown out the other qualities of the base beer. Not really a black IPA anymore - tastes more like smoked roasted beer of some sort. Decent for what it is.
