Sampled via bottle at WTWBA 2014. In a Flanders brown style. Brown color, chocolate and surprisingly some banana, and appropriate sourness for the style.

375mL bottle, courtesy of fiulijn (thanks Alex), pours a deep dark brown / mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma is quite complex, bringing out lots of pinot noir barrels, dark fruits, and wood. Flavour is fairly complex, though maybe not as nice as the aroma, with notes of pinot noir, wood and sour dark fruits. Very low vinegary quality, with quite a high vinous character. Very nicely balanced and drinkable.

Bottle from Total Wine, Lynnwood, WA
Dark brown color, almost black, small head, Nice aroma, chocolate, balsamic vinegar, dark fruits. Smooth, with a good body strength; it has a mild, elegant chocolate and caramel flavor, a bit vinous, balsamic, moderately sour, with a final woody stringent feeling; the end is a bit weak, though.
Very good.
