In life, Jutsu is all about stealthy ninja techniques (well actually techniques, skills, methods, tricks, or spells according to Wikipedia) but in beer it’s a fantastically balanced pale ale. A clean malt character provides the perfect base for the fruity, juicy hops to take centre stage. Easy drinking with low bitterness.
No. 1= brewed with Citra, Amarillo, and Mosaic hops.

Tap at the brewpub.
Hazy orange pour, with a finger of slightly off white head. A beautiful bouquet of floral citrus fruit, zest, and juicy leafy, green hops. An aroma worthy of a perfume bottle. The body and mouth feel are spot on, if anything a tad soft. The finish is slightly bitter, and very quenching with a clean, dry grapefruit zest punch. Superb!

Finally rating version 1. Version 2 was amazing high hopes for v1. Clear gold with only a sheet of head. Once again that juicy nose of hops, big tropical fruits, some resin and uh, oh that touch of cat pissiness. The taste good general hay malts, tropical fruits but that onion/ pissiness that comes with some hops that some love, and rubs me the wrong way. Ah well. Please Bellwoods make version 2 the mainstay!

500mL bottle, sent from wilco (thanks a lot, Mike), pours a cloudy golden with a small white head. Nose is very dank, with loads of juicy dank citrus hops - what an aroma. Flavour is wonderfully fresh, with dank juicy citrus hops, some pine and clean biscuity malt to back. Super fresh and damn hoppy for a pale ale. Excellent stuff.
