Meet Cannonball’s big brother; we used more malt, more hops and more magical conjuring to crank up the flavour of our explosive IPA ‘Cannonball’. Get your taste buds ready for massive pine and candied orange aromas combined with bitter/sweet grapefruit and mango flavours all complemented by a deeply composed, satisfyingly malty base. Ever wondered what it feels like to be shot out of a cannon? Here’s what it tastes like.

Draft at Craft. Pours a slightly cloudy rich amber colour with a small dense head which it keeps all the way down the glass. Aroma is very strong B.O./cat piss but in a nice way, and a lot of pine needles. Very pungent! Taste is sharp and fruity. Pink grapefuit. Very nice but tastes pretty boozy.

500 ml can. Pours a hazy amber with moderate head. Aromas of dull tropical fruit, white pepper and sulphury malts. Flavors are a bit brighter and follow same with additional bitter pine and pineapple. Good but just on a high average wrt to North American IPAs

Can. Unclear amber with a white head. Aroma of ruby grapefruit, pine, buns, a whiff of booze. Barely medium bodied, lowish carbonation. Quite firm bready malt but little sweetness before a melange of citrus, less pine than suggested by the aroma, some mango and light spices. Bitterness is highish. Dangerously easy to drink.

Can from Appellation Wines Comely Bank. Appearance - cloudy golden. Decent thin head. Nose - guava, mango, fresh sweat. Taste - more sweat, a touch of resin and lime closes it out. Palate - medium-ish bodied. Creamy and tangy through the middle and finish. Overall - good balance. The nose is better than the taste generally.
