Dark chestnut color with dark red hue, compact beige head. This Sticke Alt is very bready; the moderate residual sweetness plays an important role, the dark caramel never gets too roasty. It has hidden elements of quality, very good malt.
Elegant, bold, very well made. This one could easily stand up well in Düsseldorf too.

On tap at Doan's, pours a hazy dark red with a small beige head. Aroma brings out notes of bready malt, some caramel, toffee and some toasted nuts. Flavour is quite robust, with notes of toasted nuts, toffee and bready malt. Very malt-driven without much sweetness; in fact, seems rather highly attenuated. Fuller than the regular Alt. Very nice stuff.
