PINTA Jak w dym 16,5° - dark, thick and intensively smoked Rauchbock in Bamberg style. Rauchbock is a good choice for smoke-lovers who rest in home whilst long evenings of autumn and winter. More than 80% of malts have been smoked with beechwood smoke. They are brewing Rauchbock in Bamberg since hundreds of years. PINTA brewed it for the first time ever in 2011. Taste of this beer is very unique that's why we have to say - Rauchbock - love it or leave it!

Barwa miedziana, raczej klarowne, jasnobeżowa, obfita piana, dość drobna, ładnie się trzyma. W aromacie wędzona szynka, boczek, kiełbasa, trochę melanoidyn i karmelu. W smaku słodkie, głównie nuty tostowe, opiekane, melanoidynowe, zaraz za nimi wychodzą nuty wędzonej szynki, grilla. Spora treściwość, wysycenie średnie do niskiego, trochę za niska goryczka, alkohol dobrze ukryty. Nienajgorszy balans, jest spora słodycz, ale zdecydowanie piwo nie jest mulące, wyraźna wędzoność, choć mogłaby być też minimalnie większa, podobnie goryczka. Poza bardzo niewielkimi niedociągnięciami bardzo udany i ciekawy Rauchbock.

Bottle from Piwoszek. The smokiness is moderate to light high in intensity. Not as high as in Solipiwko 1978 for example, I liked that one better. Full body here, lots of sweetness and caramel malt flavour, which make for a maybe too overwhelming experience. Still a very good beer.

Barwa ciemno miedziana, piana bezowa ale krotka. Aromat slodu wedzonego, po ogrzaniu jakby alkohol. W smaku slodkawe, czuc wedzonosc z lekka goryczka. Piwo tresciwe, rozgrzewa, czuc dlugi posmak slodyczy i alkoholu. Mogloby byc bardziej wytrawne i goryczkowe z mniejszym alkoholem.

Bottle, 0.50l, courtesy of ElDesmadre. Clear ruby brown color with medium creamy ligh brown head, nice lacing and average sparkling appearance. Pleasant aroma of smoke, leather and grassy hops. Taste starts with sweet caramel and toffee, following is smoky and grassy sour, while finish is medium bitter. Medium to full body, sticky texture and average carbonation in palate. A bit too sweet for my taste, pleasantly smoked and tasty...

(Keg at Gastropub Tuulensuu, 20140308) The beer poured brown and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had smoke, tar and smoked ham. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were smoke, smoked ham, caramel, malts, grass and bitterness. Aftertaste was smoky and bitter. A very well done smoked brew.

50cl bottle from The Beer Store, Warszawa. Pours clear dark brown with a beige head. Malty and smoky aroma with caramel, roasted malt and hints of licorice and bonfire. Quite sweet and moderate smoky with a fairly balanced bitterness. Medium body with average carbonation. A bit on the sweet side, but otherwise balanced and enjoyable.

Bottle. Pours hazy dark brown with small light tan head. Dark, roasty aroma of malt with subtle touches of caramel. Malty, roasty and sweetish flavour with notes of caramel. Slightly sweet aftertaste. Nice.
