Black color. Aroma of roasted malt and coffee. The roasted malt flavor, anonymous, reminds me more of a sweetened oatmeal stout than anything else, let alone having the depth of an imperial stout; the final is ashy, some ashtray, not very pleasant; possible traces of vanilla.
Not a bad beer, but I can hardly find interest here.

On tap at Steamworks, pours black with a tiny beige head. Aroma brings out subtle vanilla and light cocoa upfront. Flavour is pretty shy on the vanilla, instead bringing out lightly roasted malt, followed by dry cocoa and a little cocoa. Medium bodied and well-balanced, but lacking character. Decent.
