Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Black color, thick nitro head. Very nice aroma, like a coffee chocolate truffle. Smooth mouthfeel; the first impression again is coffee truffle, bit with a mild whiskey kick. Too ashy in the end, and there it reminds me of the Alpine grolla.
Just a gimmicky beer, but interesting.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out loads of coffee upfront, followed by subdued whiskey and some cocoa - very dessert-like. Flavour is along the same lines, with a massive coffee punch upfront, followed by whiskey notes. Tastes very much like a beer-ized Bailey's Irish Cream. A bit sweet and gimmicky, but good for what it is.
