Dark brown with a thin head. The aroma has a nice dark fruit character, with plummy notes. A nice dark dubbel character , this has a pleasant dark fruit character and a dash of chocolate...so a darker take on the concept. Quite drinkable.

Draught at the brewery
Dark brown, near black, with small head. The malts have a mild chocolate touch, the yeast is spicy, and it has a mild sourness too; the three elements blend together, supported by a light residual acidity, for a very pleasant result; a bit woody in the final; quite new style in BC, it’s a plus.

On tap at 33 Acres, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out lots of earthy notes and Belgian yeast. Flavour follows accordingly, with a lovely Belgian yeast character and clean earthiness blended wonderfully. Complex and well-balanced. Not usually a fan of dark saisons, so this is even more impressive. Very good.
