Draught at the brewery
Black color with persistent brown head. The aroma is mild, it has roasted malts and related acidity. Dry but soft mouthfeel, robust, helping the roasted malt character not to be excessively strong, then followed by roasted nuts, Dark bread, rye, and a trace of liquorice in the final. The yeast may be adding a spicy touch, and it also has mild fruity esters for complement.
Balanced, elegant. Very good.

On tap at Main Street, pours black with a thick creamy tan head. Aroma is fairly laid back, bringing out roasted malt upfront and a touch of residual sugar from the Belgian yeast. Flavour is fairly rich, with lots of roasted malt upfront, followed by a little cocoa and minor residual sweetness. Not a huge Belgian presence but it's balanced well overall. Creamy palate. Very nice.
