Hazy dark amber color. More malt than hop aroma. Solid malt base, lean caramel, resiny hops with bitter orange. Good beer overall, but not a modern IIPA, why would you brew this nowadays?

@12 Kings. Dark amber. Thin head. Touch of chewy malt stands out the most on the nose. Sweet, kind of chocolatey and just a touch of orangey hop. I bet they’re not even going for a choc/orange thing. And the beer is probably better that it’s a happy a

On tap at Hearthstone, pours a hazy amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out subdued resinous hops and toasted caramel malt. Flavour is both hoppy and malty sweet, with resinous hops, caramel malt, and a syrupy sweetness. The 130 IBUs sure aren't showing much, as the sweetness envelopes it. Dangerously easy to drink, but strikes me more as a slightly hoppy, moderately sweet American Strong Ale. Decent.
