Draft pour pint at The Local. The obvious choice on the taplist here. Pepper beers are as automatic as it gets. Clean golden amber pour. Fizzing head. A vegetable constant spice aroma. Green pepper throughout. A little heat here, but it's dialed back more than the bartenders warning would suggest. Malt finish, but fades out to a solitary mild pepper heat. Nice surprise style to find from these guys.

On tap at Menace, pours a clear copper with a small off-white head. Aroma is all chilis, with lots of Serrano. Flavour is likewise dominated by the Serrano, but it isn't too overpowering. Nice heat from the chile, obscuring the base beer out of detection. Nice stuff, but ultimately forgettable.

2017 rate. Golden amber, thin head. The aroma is just a lot of canned jalapeo, the taste shows that...less vinegary...touch of serrano. Heat is balanced, again they nail the support malts. Good, balanced chile beer...just needs better chile. 4 5 7 3 14
2015 rate: Amber with a bubbly head. Aroma is pretty big jalapeo and earthy serrano, quite huge, but it’s much more balanced on the palate. No heat, really, just a nice malt/pepper earthiness and moderately bitter, woody finish. 7-4-7-4-14 = 3.6

Draught at The Local, Bellingham
Hazy amber color, bright. It has the expected dusty aroma of chili beers; simple caramel flavor, with dusty/earthy feeling, almost dirt, with reasonably strong resins.
Basically undrinkable.
