On tap at Fat Head's PDX, pours a deep dark brown / near-black with a reddish tinge and a small tan head. Aroma brings out dark fruits, some earthy notes from the rye, and a little lager yeast. Flavour is sweet and earthy, with lager yeast, cocoa, vanilla and light earthiness. The barrels are rather subdued, and the beer isn't overly complex in general. Decent stuff.
