Draught at the brewery, on nitro
Black color with thick beige nitro head. Mild aroma of roasted malt and coffee; smooth mouthfeel, gently dry; pleasant roasted malt flavor, with hint of coffee and burnt wood.
Balanced, and not negatively impacted by the nitro.

Medium brown. Roasty, has a sweet malty taste, quite Irish. Mellow, low bitterness.

On tap at Yaletown, pours a red-tinged dark brown with a medium creamy tan head. Aroma brings out lots of oats upfront, followed by toasted malt and a little dry cocoa. Flavour is nicely constructed, with notes of dry cocoa, oats and a little espresso. Light-to-medium bodied palate but nicely flavoured.
