Cask at Moon Under Water, Wolverhampton. Pours “bitter brown” with a small off-white head and good lacing. The aroma is traditional hops mixed with ripe fruit. In the mouth it has a general sweetness and plenty of malts, but this is offset by spices and tropical fruits. Old school hops are below the surface as well plus hints of plums and lychees leading to a slightly dry and spicy finish. This is a decent premium bitter.

As still WFH and I likle the stats am adding on historical ticks. When the brewery first opened they were giving away samples at a local garden centre, where I tried this. Cask at the PoW, Farnborough.

Cask ale, half-pint shared with Finn at Greyfriar. Pours an off-white, bubbly head, crocheted lacing, near clear amber body. Smell of caramel malts and dark fruits. Grass and biscuit flavours. On the sweet side of bittersweet ending. Satisfying. (Reading 20.10.2019)
