On tap at Strathcona, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small tan head. Aroma brings out dark cherries, not much hops detectable. Flavour is along the same lines, with lots of dark cherry, hoppy bitterness, and a lingering tart dry cherry skin character. Odd concept for a beer - the cherry and hops end up competing in a somewhat disharmonious way. It's okay.

Draught at the brewery
Dark mahogany color with compact head. It smells a bit of feet. Flavor of dark malts, not too roasty in the front, mild cherry sourness without the cherry character, and more roasty in the final.
Not bad, but purposeless and quite chaotic.

Dark, thick head. Earthy black ipa character. Fruity, bitter, with a light chocolate character. Nice lacing down the glass. Execution isnβt bad but Iβm not nuts about the idea
