Dark amber color, clean. Quite sharp and metallic, timid caramel flavor, relatively strong bitterness, the hops are a bit herbaceous and there may be some butter in the aroma.
It doesn't have the malt depth of an Altbier, eventually it's an ok Amber Ale.

Golden-brown colour with a thick head. On the nose, it's vaguely malty and maybe a touch of acetaldehyde. Toasty with background diacetyl. Argh...not a good thing, as it really interferes with nicer malts.

On tap at Yaletown, pours a clear amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out toasted nuts and bready malt. Flavour is very mild, with bready malt, toasted crackery nuts and light nuttiness. Clean enough and decently balanced, but not exactly authentic and not interesting at all. Meh.
