Deep amber with a medium head and great lacing. It’s a bit estery but the aroma doesn’t come out much...on the palate, much better. Biscuity, slightly toasty malts. Subtle esters from belgian yeast but with a more American-style leafy hop and moderate bitterness. I genuinely appreciate this sense of balance. Beer culture has become so much about clubbing people over the head - I like that, don’t get me wrong - that brewers and drinkers alike are missing out on beers that nail subtlety and style. High quality session brew. And I appreciate that the brewery was willing to revisit this product and make the needed improvements.

On tap at Parallel 49, pours a cloudy dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings intense hopping and roasted dry caramel malt - quite intense. Flavour brings out a blast of harsh piney hops, with a thick caramel and bready dry malt base. Robust and well-structured. A rather brutal amber. I like it.

Dark red-amber color, creamy head. Nice sweet caramel base with a mild fruity candy layer on top. Robust bitterness in the final. Dynamic. Clean. Nice.
